A third generation Southern California native, Diane grew up in the outskirts of Los Angeles, developing a deep appreciation for the natural rhythms and forms of her foothill surroundings. She has been fortunate in her life, to visit many of this country’s National Parks and most beautiful spots, as well as some of Canada and Europe. She is most captivated by the breathtaking beauty of the Na’pali Coast of Kauai’i, the mountains and red rock country of the Southwestern United States, and of course, spectacular Southern California .
Diane earned her Bachelor of Arts – Fine Arts, Studio, from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She’s been most drawn to subjects from nature her whole life, and captures them in the media of Photography and Painting in Oil, Watercolor and Acrylic.
Diane is a member of the San Fernando Valley Art Club, www.sfvartclub.org/index.html, and was recently awarded Honorable Mention for her painting, "Storm Rising: Monument Valley, Arizona," in the club's November 2009 group exhibit "Viva l'Art," at VIVA Gallery, Sherman Oaks, California. She is also an Associate member of the California Art Club www.californiaartclub.org/ and Los Angeles Experimental Artists' Group (LAEA.)

Diane has been married 31 years to Jeff, a musician, jeffgoldmusic.com (She has done the photography and graphic design on all of his album covers.) Jeff and Diane feel priviledged to have reared three amazing sons, and make their home in the North San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles.
